Senior Minister –
The Rev. Jack Mullins is a native of northeast Texas and a life-time member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)! An alumni of Texas Christian University, The University of Arkansas (Fayetteville), and Brite Divinity School, Jack brings a wide range of gifts to his ministry at First Christian Church. Married to his wife of more than 30 years, Sherry), with one daughter, Jessica, two grand-daughters, Linli and Loli, and four dogs. He finds his time at the church both fulfilling and rewarding. Jack tries to blend his appreciation of humor and folk music into his ministry and sermons. An enthusiastic teacher, he regularly leads Bible studies for groups within the church.
Music Director – Mark Graham
Mark Graham graduated from the University of North Texas in 1984 with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, Minor in Music Theory. He has played and conducted Broadway tours, he has taught piano and composition, and he has performed with other musicians in a wide variety of musical styles. Since 1997 he was worked full time in other fields, including information technology. He currently Directing the Denton School of Music which is housed at First Christian Church.
Church Secretary – Cheri Bailey
Cheri is a native of Michigan and moved to Texas in 1983. She has made a career out of serving four different churches as church secretary over a span of twenty four years. She has been employed by First Christian Church since September 2012. Cheri lives in Justin with her husband, Dale and they have three adult sons.
Children’s Resource Coordinator – Khaleigh Hopkins
Khaleigh is a recent graduate of Denton high school. She will attend Bethany College in West Virginia, plans on studying Psychology and Social Work with a minor Political Science. While at Bethany, Khaleigh will play on the women’s collegiate golf team. As the Children’s Resource Coordinator, Khaleigh works with the Children’s Church program, a program for children ages four till their finishing of the fifth grade thats teaches Christian Education during the worship hour. Along with such, she works with program curriculum, social media, social outings, North Texas Area involvement, and involving families in our greater community of Denton.
Custodian – Richard Meyer
Richard is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska, where he graduated H.S. in 1971. He then served in the U.S. Army, being stationed in Panama, Vietnam, and Germany. In 1988 he received and Associates Degree in Sociology from El Paso Community College and in 2001 he received a B.A. in Psychology from U.N.T. Richard’s family still resides in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is an avid fan of football, especially Notre Dame football, he also is considered to be quite a history buff. Richard has worked for FCC since 2002.
